Reflecting on 2021: Life Lessons and Reminders

As 2021 ends, I have mixed emotions. Despite experiencing tough times, I am thankful for being on this side of the dirt. Although I have always known it, an experience with someone reminded me again there are folks that only care about what you can do for them. When you confront them about their narcissistic behaviors and set healthy boundaries, these same people want to use reverse psychology and make it seem as though you are the problem.

To help their case and make them feel better without ever admitting wrongdoing, they get other easily influenced individuals to believe their mess so they can turn people against you. Even so, I know that God works all things together for good and these individuals were distractions anyway that had to be removed. What God has for me no one can block. Period!

With COVID still being a major issue around the world, folks losing family members and friends to this illness, other illnesses, and natural causes, and even murders, it is a reminder of how important it is to spend time with family and friends because you just never know when your number is going to be up.

Within this year, I have thought more about the life lessons that my mother, rest her soul, taught me; therefore, I had to readjust my mindset and no longer engage in some negative behaviors and thinking not aligned with…
